Aggressive outcast

Once again, we are witnessing how Turkey became a victim of its foreign policy ambitions. Even the patience of the West, which was once loyal to the whims of the Turkish government, has come to an end.
The results of Ankara’s unpredictable policy came as a surprise to itself. Trying to sit not even on two, but on several chairs, Erdogan was able to spoil relations with all countries, partnership with which would be very important for Turkey.
Such significant events as the downing of a Russian Su-24 bomber by a Turkish F-16 fighter over Syrian territory and Turkey’s failure to recognize the Crimean Peninsula as part of Russia have clearly created an obstacle to the development of Russian-Turkish relations.
It would seem that the purchase of the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system is a small, but still a step towards the restoration of these relations, which should have a beneficial effect on Turkey. However, this step was actively opposed by the United States, which even imposed a package of sanctions on a NATO member country. Moreover, the United States refused to support Turkey’s military operation in northern Syria.
The boiling point for the entire world community is the situation with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. After Turkey provoked Azerbaijan to unleash a war, and then, contrary to the prohibitions, was engaged in the supply of weapons and the transfer of militants from Syria, no one had any doubts about the aggressiveness of Erdogan’s policy.
The result of such reckless political steps has already affected Turkey – it is isolated from Europe, the US is pursuing a policy of distancing itself from an unreliable partner, and the gulf in relations with Russia is so great that there is no possibility of any full-fledged cooperation.
In the modern world, a country cut off from the whole world cannot fully develop, and if Turkey does not take measures to correct its situation, it will become another confirmation of this fact.
