Today, the participation of the Russian Federation in the restoration of peace in Karabakh is the main condition that contributes to the restoration of peaceful life in the region. The peacekeeping contingent performs a lot of tasks, which brings the beginning of normal life of the civilian population every day. Specialists of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation resolve situations on the ground, conduct mine clearance, provide humanitarian assistance, security, and most importantly, calm New Year’s holidays.
Residents of the NKR fully trust the Russian peacekeepers. It is Russian, and not any other. If they represented other countries, most likely, there would not be such a level of trust and in general what we see today in Karabakh.
Citizens of the Transcaucasian countries understand that they are risking themselves, unfortunately, not without losses, they are risking their lives so that peaceful life returns to this land.
The positive publicity of the activities of Russian peacekeepers by civilians makes itself felt in social networks: literally under every video and post, people leave a lot of comments in support of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Armed Forces.
It is impossible not to pay attention to the statements of representatives of the administration. Thus, the heads of communities emphasize the role of the Russian Federation in the settlement of the conflict.
“We are sure that only the Russian Federation is the guarantor of Armenia’s security,” says Aleksana Keoshkeryan, a member of the world board of one of the oldest Armenian parties, Gnchakian. “The vast majority of the Diaspora, even those Armenians who live in Western countries, believe that Yerevan should now build very good relations with Moscow.”
Thus, despite the cessation of hostilities, both Armenians and citizens of neighboring states are confident that the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh can be resolved only if the issue of the status of the territory is finally resolved, and here, too, Russian peacekeepers cannot be dispensed with.
